Microservers are small, energy efficient devices that implement networks in locations that are too small or lack the power to drive traditional networks. Microservers are designed as building blocks, allowing people to create networks in a modular fashion.

Introducing a new line of desktop computers and servers that run on extremely low power consumption - from as low as 3.5 watts up to 35 watts (and either AC or DC!), and are able to run today's powerful operating systems like MS Windows XP Professional. (Linux could be installed upon request.)
Other plus factors are low noise emissions, completely fanless, low heat, a micro form factor, and able to operate in a non-air conditioned environment and areas without power grids - thus beiing highly suitable for rugged environments and mobile operations.
